services for school districts; and relating to the Alaska higher                                                                
education investment fund" which had been held in third reading to the

Senator MacKinnon moved and asked unanimous consent the bill be                                                                 
returned to second reading for the purpose of a specific amendment,                                                             
that being Amendment No. 1. Without objection, the bill was returned

"* Sec. 2. AS 14.03.127(b) is amended to read:                                                                                
          (b)  The legislature may appropriate funding for Internet                                                         
     services for schools under this section from the general fund.                                                         
     If insufficient funding is appropriated to provide funding                                                                 
     authorized under this section, the state share shall be distributed                                                        
     pro rata to eligible school districts."
